My passion for words began at the young age of six (as verified through mountains of hand written journals). After high school I had no idea what I wanted to be, and sometimes I still don't, but the constant has always been writing. So, I declared myself an English major and graduated four years later with an emphasis in Analyical and Rhetorical Writing and a minor in Communications. I adore words, written and spoken. When used well they change the world.
I've been speaking to various groups for the past year about our financial journey because I love encouraging others, whether it is to one person or a large group. Topics include: tiny house (building, lifestyle, design, process), finances, and downsizing. Whether the venue is a women's event or tiny house workshop, I would love to be a part it.
what can an english major actually do? (besides teach)
I know, it seems like a good way of telling people you're a huge nerd, but English majors have a lot to offer in addition to writing and teaching.
I particularly enjoy:
- Technical Writing (training manuals, user guides)
- Revising/Revamping (resumes, cover letters)
- Coaching (timelines, work plans, goal setting)
Any of the above interest you? Please email me for more information.
I look forward to working with you!
